I've always suffered from lack of self-esteem due to my rail-thin figure. This song actually puts me (or someone like me) in the body of Atlas (who bore the celestial globes on his shoulders, so visually a image of great strength though under duress, etc) who, in my story, regardless of his great physical strength and endurance does not have the kind of strength it takes to keep the one he loves. In retrospect, maybe I should've written a song about me getting the girl despite my non-beach body. Note to self...
